Year after year, the top cycling events in the Alps reinforce Nauders’ reputation as the number 1 destination for sports cyclists. With the Tri-country tour, the Race across the Alps, the Nauders night criterium and the King of the Kaunertal glacier, some of the biggest, toughest road and mountain bike competitions in the Alps are staged in Nauders or the Kaunertal valley.

The Race Across The Alps starts and finishes in Nauders and is renowned as the hardest one-day race worldwide. The bike race takes competitors through Switzerland, Italy, and Austria and only long-distance specialists are permitted to start. The 540km-long race has to be completed within a 24h time limit.

The 3-Country-Giro is renowned as one of the largest road bike races in Europe. 3000 Competitors from 30 different nations set out to race on the roads through the three countries of Austria, Italy, and Switzerland for the 26th time this year.
